Having completed a decorated high school career, including provincial colours for Athletics, and Honorary Accolades for Academics, Athletics and Culture at Huguenot High School in Wellington, I went on to complete my Doctorate at the University of Stellenbosch in 1998. My Masters in Paediatric medicine followed in 2005, while I was admitted as a Fellow of the Colleage of Paediatrics of South Africa in the same year.

Private Practice since 2007

I started and currently manage a successful private practice in Panorama, Cape Town.
Panorama is the flagship hospital in the Mediclinic group and serves as referral centre
from surrounding smaller towns. I am currently a member of the Paediatric Management
group and Allergic society of South Africa as well as the Antibiotic review group of
Panorama Hospital. I opened a second practice at the newest mediclinic hospital called
Cape Gate mediclinic in February 2010.

International Stint

I worked in various private hospitals in the UK where I was responsible for the day to day patients under various Consultants.

During the course of this year, I also spent time as a locum at various hospitals in NHS network. This afforded invaluable first class experience across a multitude of disciplines.

Mountain Biking

I have maintained an avid interest in various sporting activities throughout my professional career. With ambitions of completing a full iron man soon, I currently complete in a range of Triathlon competitions throughout the country.

Triathlons

I often participate in the various mountain biking and swimming events which the Western Cape hosts. I remain an voracious reader of both fiction and non fiction, whilst keep a firm eye on the development of medicinal best pracitice and scientific endeavour in the world of Paeds.

Swimming

I enjoy a gruelling session at the gym, and often find places to scuba dive when travelling.
